The BST Port area, named Kulevi Port, comprised
of three berths and six marine loading arms, is designed to receive local and international vessels up to 100,000 dwt for crude oil and hydrocarbon product transshipment. Oil products bidirectional transfer from berth to ship and vice versa is organized by standers:
- EMCOB0030 16” Marine Loading Arm is for loading / unloading sea-going tanker ships and its capability has been proven by many years of trouble-free operation world-wide;
- The B0030 includes a rigid link pantograph balancing system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm. This ensures accurate balance throughout all maneuvering and connecting positions;
- The self-supporting design provides not only high safety standards for easy operation, but also the lowest possible jetty loads, which minimize the cost for the jetty itself;
- Each Bert Crude oil Loading arm is equipped with an off-gas pipe work system, flange size 8”;
- All standers are hydraulic-driven arms for easy and safe operation;
- Each Bert stander area is concrete and bounded with industrial water drainage and protected by a complete automatic firefighting system (berth curtain and foam generators);
- Equipped with automatic Fire (optical detectors) and gas detection system;
- The operations of loading to tankers and discharge of oil and oil products are performed simultaneously within the loading of oil at berths №1 or №2 (or on both berths) with capacity for oil of up to 8 000 m3/h (2 loading arms are operated for ach berth) or mazout up to 2 000 m3/h (1 loading arm for each berth), diesel fuel from 2 000 to 4 000 m3/h (1 loading arm for each berth);
- Operations of circulating heating, the loading of oil to tanker (with performance up to 4 000 m3/h), oil discharge from racks;
- Operations of diesel fuel discharge from one of two sides of the rack item 1 to storage tank with performance of 2 000 m3/h and its loading to tanker at one berth with a performance of 2 000 to 4 000 m3/h.
Each stander is monitored and maintained by an
approved preventive maintenance planning system:
- Scheduled preventive maintenance, lubrication, hydraulic oil change
- Scheduled grounding system verification/examination
- Hydrocarbon leak detection system
