Black Sea Terminal LLC (BST) is committed to improving its Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management System in accordance with international standards and practices. The HSEQ Management System’s main elements are based on the ‘plan-do-check-act’ criteria. The system covers all company processes and services and aims to continually improve BST Management Systems.

The protection of our personnel’s health and safety, the prevention of pollution to the environment and the provision of services that achieve customer satisfaction are Kulevi Oil Terminal’s HSEQ Management System’s main principles. The company implements various management methods to achieve its chief goals. All BST personnel are covered with healthcare and insurance services. All equipment used in providing services is designed to meet safety standards. The personnel involved in the operation of this equipment are covered under the company’s effective training strategy in order to improve employee competence and awareness with all HSE standards and practices. All BST personnel are provided with personal protective equipment.

The company has implemented and maintains effective risk assessment, isolation and permit to work standards, which are necessary controls to ensure that all processes and tasks are conducted in accordance to the HSEQ Management System’s requirements.

Considering the Geographical location (vicinity to Kolkheti National Park and Ramsar sites) of the Black Sea Terminal LLC, the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution is one of most essential issues for the company. BST has identified all key environmental aspects associated with its activities and has implemented the necessary measures to mitigate the related environmental impacts. Environmental protection safeguards are embedded in the design of the equipment and facilities involved in oil and oil products storage and transshipment, and prevent the accidental release of hydrocarbons to the surrounding environment and mitigates the possibility of emissions being released into atmosphere.

Kulevi Oil Terminal renders financial support to the Kolkheti National Park to conduct environmental monitoring, research and rehabilitation activities.
