IMS Internal Audit 2021

The IMS Internal Audit process is an important part of BST’s Safe Management System.

On March 2021, an internal audit was conducted within the Maintenance and Transport & Machinery Departments. The main objective was to assess the compliance of company processes against the requirements of established international standards including ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) and other work procedures.

The internal audit covered all important operational processes, and complied with legal requirements, document control, performance and customer satisfaction evaluation, occupational health and safety, environmental management and quality-control issues, risk assessment and etc.

The lead auditor convened a brief entry meeting between the audit team and the auditee:

  • · introduced the audit team
  • · recorded attendance
  • · discussed the audit subject and the itinerary
  • · agreed time for exit meeting

The audit team reviewed the status of the recommendations made from previous internal and external audits. It is an approach that enables the company to evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective actions taken and to achieve continuous improvement of its processes.

Corrective actions and improvement points identified during audit have been distributed to all related sides for further corrective actions.

The audit results will also be discussed during Action Tracking Meetings and the Management Review Meeting, which will be conducted at the end of 2021.

A main objective of the internal audit is to determine risk levels and to uncover opportunities for continual improvement as per ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.
