Environmental Monitoring Report for 3rd quarter of 2018

According to the agreement between Black Sea Terminal and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (MoE), BST is obliged to conduct an Annual Environmental Monitoring Report (AEMR) with corresponding reporting as per the Environmental Monitoring Measurement Scheme. Overall 10 AEMRs have been sent to the MoE since the start of operation.


The AEMR, which contains all the information pertaining to environmental protection, is being sent to MoE at the end of 1Q of each year.


In order to achieve enhancements to environment work processes for the whole year, quarterly self-monitoring reports conducted by BST and these include all environmental monitoring activities and mitigation measures in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Measurement Scheme. Monitoring impacts include: air emissions, noise level monitoring, soil contamination, water consumption, fuel consumption, waste generation, electricity consumption, bathymetry, shore monitoring, training reports and others.


The report also includes information about activities related to the mitigation and prevention of environmental impact with the objectives and targets for the each for the next reporting year.


As in previous reports, the 3rd quarterly self-monitoring report results have also shown full compliance with the limits and standards imposed on BST by the active legislation of Georgia and other normative documents and standards.
