Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) training

Employee training plays an integral role in the individual development of every employee at Kulevi Oil Terminal, so these trainings are always organized with the best training companies and trainers.

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is required to ensure that a systematic approach is taken to identify preventive or scheduled maintenance tasks for all equipment and to establish the necessary preventative maintenance task intervals.

This training session provided participants with a thorough vision, knowledge and understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance. The training course was presented using slides, videos, graphs and charts. The main subjects covered were RCM program components, their advantages and disadvantages, the impact of RCM on the life-cycle of facilities, FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), types of FMEA, their inputs and outputs, risk assessment factors, risk priority number, principles and analysis, steps for implementing RCM, and more. After the training course was completed an assessment was conducted to analyze the participant’s knowledge and understanding of RCM, based on which, certificates were issued to all.

Based on the knowledge each trainee gained, they can now provide a better structured framework for analyzing the functions and potential failures for any physical asset with a focus on preserving system functions, rather than preserving equipment. They can also make use of the knowledge to develop scheduled maintenance plans that will provide acceptable levels of operability with an acceptable level of risk in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
