Environmental Monitoring Report for the 2nd Quarter of 2018


According to the agreement between Black Sea Terminal and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia (MoE), BST is obliged to conduct annual environmental monitoring with the corresponding reporting as per the Environmental Monitoring Scheme.

 

The Annual Environmental Monitoring Report, which contains all the information pertaining to activities related to environmental protection, must be sent to the MoE by the end of 2nd quarter of the following reporting period of 2018.

 

The report summarizes all environmental monitoring activities and all mitigation measures conducted by the BST in accordance with the Environmental Monitoring Scheme. Monitored impacts include air emissions, noise pollution, soil contamination, water consumption and pollution, waste generation, electricity consumption and others.

 

The report also includes information regarding activities related to mitigation and the prevention of environmental impact with the objectives and targets for the next reporting year.

 

Overall, 16 reports have been sent to the MoE since the commencement of BST’s operation. As in previous years, q2 monitoring results show full compliance with the limits and standards imposed on BST according to Georgian legislation.
