Posidonia 2018

Kulevi Oil Terminal together with Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia and other leading companies of the maritime sector of Georgia represented  the country  in “Posidonia 2018”, the 31st International Shipping Exhibition, which was held on June 4-8 at the Metropolitan Expo, Athens, Greece under the auspices of Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Union of Greek Ship-owners and Hellenic Chamber of shipping with the support of Municipality of Piraeus and Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee.

Posidonia is the leading international shipping exhibition that has long been established as one of the major calendar events of the shipping industry. Once in every two years Posidonia takes the pulse of the global maritime industry and focuses on its key issues. Posidonia not only serves as a bridge linking the international shipping industry with the Greek ship-owners, who operate the largest fleet globally of over 4,000 vessels, the largest under the control of any national group, but also serves as the platform that brings international ship-owners and ports in touch with the latest developments in the maritime industry and offers them direct access to the entire range of the products and services available on the international maritime market.

In a total of 40 conferences and seminars chaired by industry leaders, there was lively discussion and debate on issues, challenges and opportunities facing the industry, such as burning issues of environmental regulations, safety, clean fuel, leadership and digitalization.

Technical presentations gave the industry’s innovators the platform for their latest vessel designs, eco-ship technologies, communications, propulsion systems and other vital developments.

The exhibition hosted 2009 exhibitors and 23527 visitors from 110 countries.
